• 1st word (Name of item) in UPPER CASE

• Description in lower case, followed by condition, price and phone number.

• NO bolds, underlining etc

• Include ads in body of email as plain text.  NO attachments will be opened.

• When hand writing ads please PRINT
• Avoid shiny note paper.

• Before calling, draft your ad on a piece of paper exactly as you want it printed.

• Commence your message with the contact phone number for your ad.
  
• Start your ad with the name of the item, for example, ‘LOUNGE, blue in colour’, not ‘BLUE COLOURED lounge’

• Spell uncommon words

• Always include a price

• Nominate a CATEGORY

• Always include your phone number

• Speak slowly and clearly

• MINIMISE background noise

How do I renew my Ad?

To restart your ads, email, phone or fax us and restate them in FULL.
 

Are there any conditions?

All advertising is FREE – no fees, commissions or catches!  All we ask is that you tell your friends of your success with the “Trader’s Mate” when you have sold your item.

Advertisements will be removed after two editions, but may be sent in again until items are sold. Please notify us if your goods are sold in the first edition.  Always commence message with the ad phone number.  All items for sale should carry a sale price. Items not carrying a sale price will be placed in the “Unpriced Items” category. Unpriced items are permitted in “Car Parts & Accessories”, “Wrecking”, “Houses & Property”, “Wanted to Buy”.

The Trader’s Mate reserves the right to edit ads & abbreviate common words such as large (lge), bedroom (brm) etc. Also, advertisements may not be accepted if they are not compatible with our classifications. Advertisers of registered motor vehicles, firearms & certain breeds of dogs are reminded of their obligations under the law. For more information contact the relevant Government department.  While every care is taken to prevent errors, ads are placed in good faith and we take no responsibility should any errors occur or any consequences arise therefrom. Please notify us immediately of any problems.

When is the Deadline for Placing Ads?

Deadline for advertising is Midday Monday of publication week.  Ads received after the deadline will be held over for inclusion in the following publication.
